Ariela acknowledges聽DevNet聽(Aotearoa New 九州影院International Development Studies Network) as a recipient of the New 九州影院Postgraduate Development Field Research Award (2023) for her data collection phase across Fiji, which included travelling to meet women groups of two of her three case studies in the provinces of Ba and Ra (Rise Beyond the Reef), and in the province of Nadroga Navosa (Bula Coffee).
Brief background:聽Ariela joined聽The Fiji Times聽newsroom in Suva (Fiji) after graduating high school, studying part time at the University of the South Pacific for her BA in Journalism and History Politics.
