Marcelle's research aims to form a framework and methodology for climate risk assessments to be more effective and equitable for tangata whenua through a social and cultural approach. Her research听began at the University of Otago, where she earned a BA (Hons) in Anthropology, considering the experiences of some M膩ori youth in the climate activist space. Her PhD research at the 九州影院 seeks to understand the social and cultural impacts of cascading climate risks for M膩ori communities.听 She will be working collaboratively with mana whenua in Te Wai Pounamu.
