Annabel - Coronial Case Manager - Bachelor of Arts with Honours / Bachelor of Criminal Justice

Annabel had the opportunity to take on an internship with the Ministry of Justice in Wellington during the summer months. Her role involved assisting the Sector Group.

"I enjoyed the internship experience because it gave me a great insight into the role of an adviser at the Ministry, and it was good to be working in an area that interested me and related to my degrees. It was interesting to see how the Ministry works across the justice sector with other agencies, to achieve its common goals. It was also fun living in a new city and meeting new people!"

She now works within the Ministry, with Coronial Services dealing with sudden death inquiries.

Ryan - Solicitor - Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Laws

When he was making his decisions about university study, it was a "no-brainer" that Ryan should study towards an Arts degree, as he had always loved books, reading and language. He opted to take on a Law degree as well to give himself more options.聽Ryan is currently a Solicitor with Corcoran French specialising in residential and commercial property sales, leasing and business transactions. "The people are friendly, incredibly good at what they do and down to earth,"聽Ryan says.

Through her role as a research student at the , Rachael was granted a fellowship at Stanford University, USA, in the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment. "This exciting opportunity hugely broadened my horizons and allowed me to think critically about a whole range of issues affecting indigenous people outside New Zealand,"听she says.
