The Industry Advisory Board for the School of Mathematics and Statistics has been formed to provide advice on industry needs of graduates from our Applied Data Science (ADS) courses. The board members have a wealth of experience from industry, and with data science graduates, that UC staff are not privy to as the teachers of these courses. Successful implementation will mean our ADS courses are adapted to meet present and near future industry need, and that our ADS graduates seamlessly move into industry, make positive contributions within their organisations, and are well positioned to participate in the wider data system and sector.
The inaugural Applied Data Science Industry Advisory Board meeting was held in May 2023.
