UC's Master of H艒aka Pounamu | M膩ori Bilingual and Immersion Teaching and Learning (MHP) is an ideal programme for teachers, leaders, and education researchers to raise the knowledge of te reo M膩ori in bilingual, immersion, and mainstream settings. The MHP is made up of 180 points, including compulsory and elective courses, featuring several noho marae experiences and full-immersion reo classes.
You can complete your degree within 1 year full-time, or part-time for up to 4 years.

Graduates will have extensive experience teaching a second language as well as the confidence to work with students, wh膩nau, iwi, and other communities growing their M膩ori learning.
This Master's degree will also prepare you for leadership or research roles with the ability to critique and develop the Aotearoa teaching curriculum.
