The聽Rose Centre for Stroke Recovery and Research

This new state of the art facility builds on the successes of the current Swallowing Rehabilitation Research Laboratory and will extend this research and clinical expertise to address all aspects of rehabilitation in this population. Find out more here.

Speech and Language

The research encompasses various aspects of speech and language therapy education and development. It investigates effective teaching methods for clinical education, assesses typical and disordered speech and language development in children, and explores speech production and perception in healthy aging and Parkinson's disease. Additionally, it focuses on cognitive processing and language acquisition in children facing language and literacy challenges, emphasizing cultural relevance. Lastly, the research integrates behavioral and neuroimaging approaches to understand both normal and disordered speech production and the underlying neural networks.

Hearing
