Introduction

Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and associated biological, cognitive, and social processes in humans and other animals.

Studying Psychology will explore how the brain works, and looks into theories to gain an understanding of behaviour in individuals and groups.

What will my study involve?

  • Explore a range of psychopathologies such as anxiety, depression, and addiction with leading experts and researchers.
  • Practical lab work where you will be able to perform physical assessments.
  • UC has a Psychology Clinic where you can receive training, and has working relationships with Te Whatu Ora Health聽|聽New 九州影院Waitaha Canterbury, and Ara Poutama Aotearoa聽|聽Department of Corrections, offering opportunities for research and clinical internships.
  • Psychology can be studied in many bachelor鈥檚 degrees, can be customised to your specific preferences, and complement your other studies.
  • Excellent opportunities to undertake work in experimental psychology, with internationally recognised postgraduate applied programmes in Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Child and Family Psychology, and Clinical Psychology (leading to professional registration as a psychologist).
