If you want to study at postgraduate level at UC you can do a Progression qualification to get more in-depth knowledge in the same subject area. Alternatively you can do a Conversion qualification if you're keen to change direction.听

HOW TO APPLY

Progression & Conversion

Students wanting to study at postgraduate level can do 鈥楶rogression鈥 qualifications to gain further in-depth knowledge in the same subject area, or do 鈥楥onversion鈥 qualifications to change direction.

Conversion qualifications allow you to move from one subject area into another and grow a new set of skills to complement those gained in your undergraduate studies. They can open up new experiences and career pathways for your future.

Find the right degree for you

Some conversion degrees are fully open and any student from any bachelors degree across the university can apply to enrol. Others have entry requirements which may include completion of relevant courses, or practical or professional experience.

Master of Arts, Master of Science or Master of Education in听Child and Family Psychology

BHSc, BSc or BA majoring in Psychology or Education (but with psychology study)

BTchLn (but must also include psychology study). Must complete PSCY206 in undergraduate study


Master of Applied Finance and Economics

Bachelor鈥檚 degree with intermediate microeconomics, introductory business finance, a calculus-based mathematics course and an introductory statistics course


Master of Applied Translation and Interpreting

Language requirement


Master of Audiology

BSLP (Hons), BA, BSc or other relevant bachelor鈥檚 degree


Master of Commerce

Degree in Commerce or a Degree in Arts, Science (with Economics, Finance or Computer Science) or any degree with a relevant diploma in your major

For students from computer science, environmental science, engineering, the digital humanities or any other relevant subject

BHSc, BSc or relevant degree in a health-related discipline


Master of Health Sciences Professional Practice

BHSc, BSc or relevant degree in a health-related discipline


Master of Human Interface Technology

Bachelor鈥檚 degree with Honours in Computer Science, Design, Psychology or other appropriate field


Master of Laws

Bachelor of Laws degree (or equivalent) with good grades


Master of Laws (International Law and Politics)

Students must have qualified for a Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) with a minimum B Grade Point Average, or be admitted Ad Eundem Statum (with equivalent standing)


Master of Linguistics

If no background in Linguistics, students may enter via completion of LING 400


Master of M膩ori and Indigenous Leadership

Background in M膩ori sector


Master of Science in Organisational Psychology

Bachelor鈥檚 degree in psychology


Master of Social Work (Applied)

Completed courses in social research and human development, or relevant work experience


Master of Sport Science
